Dat Update

My apologies. It's been a couple days since my last post. It's been crazy! I'm not used to this settling down and following through with shit lol. Work and school work and school work and school... that's all it's been. But It's cool i'm managing. This Recording engineering stuff is gonna have me at a leg up when I'm done. Ok so I got mixtapes to listen too and review, one being Big KRITs "Return of 4eva." Ever since "KRIT Wuz Here," I been a fan of this dude. A true poet fused with street grit and pimp shit. Yep that's Krit in a nutshell. His production skills and sampling is simply amazing. He knows his sound. Other artists I'll be looking into is Big Sean, Schoolboy Q, and finally see what the hell this whiteboy Mac Miller got to offer. It's gotta be something if Rick Ross fuckin with him. Until next time...

Stay on it...

That sh*t is Daft! Punk that is.

As I write this blog I sit and listen to one of the best albums that fell upon 2001. It makes want to go back and just live that whole year all over again. 2001; I was 15 years old, My fam and myself had moved to a state we never thought we'd ever come across save for a social studies book or some special programming on the discovery channel. We didn't know how the hell we was going to manage and due the time the military had given my family living in Alaska of all places. But we made due. I graduated high school there. Bartlett High School home of the Golden Bears, class of 2004. An amazing time ya'll it really was. I wish over and over again that I could do it again.

Everytime the soundtrack of that year and the place and time I was in plays, Daft Punks Discovery comes to mind."Aerodynamic" isTHE shit."Face 2 Face" is another banger I was diggin. My personal favorite on the whole album is "Voyager." You can literally keep that on repeat, fall asleep and just dream a million dreams. So damn relaxing. And that's the song that puts me right back in Alaska. Just a kid with no worries. All that needed to be done was go to school, socialize, get in where you fit in, and just enjoy carefree youth. That went by incredibly fast. Sometimes I feel like its not even fair.

But hey we all gotta grow the hell up sometime. It's timeless music that artists like Daft Punk put out that enables you to go back to the period in time to live it "One more time."

New Artist Alert!!

Dee Goodz

Kid out of Nashiville Tennessee. I'm stay on top of his movement. Little is known about him. I found this track on Crackspace.com, a hip hop website I frequent for new music from underground artists. I love how they flipped our beloved Aaliyahs "Rock The Boat" track. Kept it simple and flowed rather decent to it. Check that Lisa Lopes heater also. Track is tough.

Discard

This started out as a homework assignment for yours truly. Yeah, I school now. For real. Ain't lying. Boy is  finally taking that constructive step towards a better education in conjuction with his career. Because of this assignment "forcing" us to mess around with the features on this blogsite thingy deal, I've decided to keep this as my primary blogsite for updates in music, media, gaming and film. This is more appropriate and I love it better than the one I made months back that I have no intention on updating or posting up on, ever. Again. Ndastardly.blogspot.com is no more as of tonight. Prime Records is wassup. Translation: This is what's going on now folks and it's great. Translation over. So follow me. There will be more to come. #Mashout

Welcome, Children of the Underground

PrimeRecords. Literally the shit (and this is in a good way). The different array of artists that engilf this label are that of the eccentric, abstract, so charismatic your mother will bake endless amounts of cookies for them as well as giving up the cookie *wink wink* to them. The music here is progressive and innovative. It's not for the primitive non creative mind. You'll easily miss out if you're apart of this "in" crowd. What we represent is music so unearthed that you'll hate it before you love it. Then you'll end up loving it. Forever. PrimeRecords transforms the non believers into supreme supporters and with that, gives us fuel to continue to make hits for the underground. Mainstream can get a taste too.
